About the Artist

 My name is Tarni, and I am a proud young woman of Djab Wurrong, Kirrae Wurrong, and Peak Wurrong heritage. I grew up and am now raising my family in Waddawurrong country.  

From a young age, I discovered my love for art and its power through my Pop. We spent a lot of time together bonding over creativity, and he often created pieces for me and my family to share his stories. I have embraced his passion for storytelling, connection, kinship, and culture, as well as the therapeutic aspects of art, and I carry these influences into my own work today.  

I am also a proud community foundation ambassador for the western bulldogs foundation.

My hope is that my art encourages people to learn more about culture, explore their own identities, and ask meaningful questions.
